Community Service 2010-2011
Improving the quality of life in our community is the chief emphasis of our community service. Particular attention is paid to the needs of children, families, the aged and the handicapped. These are some of the opportunities our club had this past year.

535+2 BLITZ Project in 2010 the Rotary Club of Hampton Roads brought 36 high school students, members of Interact Clubs, and 18 club members together to distribute copies of the Four Way Test to the President, the Vice President and all members of Congress.

Dictionary Project presented free dictionaries to third graders in six Norfolk elementary schools in high risk neighborhoods.
Paint-Your-Heart-Out club members join forces to repair and re-paint the house of a lady in need. The job took about 7 hours with twenty-two club members involved.
Food Bank. Six times a year the club members spend an evening at the Norfolk Food Bank helping organize and sort food.
