Putt Putt Golf Tournament

Putt-Putt Golf is an annual fund raising activity of the Rotary Club of Hampton Roads. The funds raised are used to provide awards to selected Teachers of the Year in four school in Norfolk and Virginia Beach. These are Kempsville High School, Landstown High School, Norfolk Technical Center and Virginia Beach Technical Center. Each school identifies applicant for this award and the applicants submit information to the club for consideration.
Four "Teacher of the Year" awards are given to the finalist from each school. The $500 award may be used in anyway the teacher wish to further his/her work in the classroom. To date the club has awarded more than $20,000 to deserving teachers.
2010 Putt Putt Golf Fundraiser a Success
Over $3,500 was raised this year at the Rotary Club of Hampton Roads annual Putt-Putt golf competition and club party. Over 45 club members and friends took part in the event. Teams were formed to play golf, participate in a wine auction and enjoy a reception at Tautogs Resturant. A Certificate of Appreciation from the Rotary Foundation was presented to Tautogs.
The funds raised will be used for Outstanding Teacher Awards to a selected teacher at Kempsville High School, Landstown High School, Norfolk Technical Center and the Virginia Beach Technical Center.
